How Does it Work?
Village Toastmasters is a learn-by-doing workshop in which men and women of all ages, hone their skills in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
Who Are Toastmasters?
Village Toastmasters is part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars, and speech contests. Our club has approximately 20 members who meet every Thursday for approximately one hour, to learn and practice public speaking techniques.
How Much Does It Cost?
Guests are always welcome to join us for meetings at no cost. If you wish to become a member there is a one time initial fee of $25.00 for new members plus $6.50 per month. Once you join you will receive educational materials and tips on everything from speaking to organization to leadership skills, through publications and documents provided by Toastmasters International. You will also learn and participate in a variety of roles with the members of Village Toastmasters.
Who Should Join?
Public speaking is a skill that everyone has; in fact we all do it every day! Whether you are standing in front of a large corporate audience, or simply having a family meeting, you are practicing public speaking. So if you want to hone those skills to learn how to better communicate with your loved ones, the PTA, your manager or co-workers, what better place to practice!
